Hurricane Dorian ravaged the Bahamas, and it caused casualties and destruction of properties. People are doing everything they can to recover from the disaster. Good thing, people can still do things to make sure that they move on with their lives.

Unfortunately, animals don’t have the ability to protect themselves from the hurricane. Sometimes, after huge storms, animals get lost or abandoned, and they couldn’t find a home after the disaster. This is what happened to a lot of dogs in the Bahamas. Fortunately, a kindhearted woman decided to take home not just one but 97 adorable pooches with her.

The defenseless pups at the Voiceless Dogs of Nassau, Bahamas don’t have a safe place to stay amid Hurricane Dorian. Fortunately, Chella Phillips decided to rescue these dogs.

Chella does not have her own rescue shelter. She’s also not connected to the Humane Society, nor does she receive any type of incentive from the government. She simply volunteered to save the pooches.

The dogs would have suffered the harsh weather on the streets if Chella didn’t rescue them. Chella wanted to take as many dogs as she can.

According to Chella, the pooches get vetted and vaccinated. She is willing to assist them while she’s waiting for rescue centers and other people to help the pooches.

Chella mentioned that it gets challenging every day. She wishes that more people will step up and assist these homeless dogs.

She posted her sentiments on Facebook, and it went viral. She said that these homeless dogs deserve to feel loved. They deserve to find a forever home.

After Chella’s post went viral, a lot of people from different parts of the world sent donations for the pooches. Aside from that, animal shelters also shared their interest in taking the dogs in. They wanted to help find potential adopters for the dogs.

Thanks to Chella for giving these dogs a temporary home. Hopefully, all the dogs will get the chance to get adopted and find their new family.

Credits to Chella Phillips for this wonderful update.
